Grace By Which I Stand

God showed me something last night.

He showed me that next to Him I am nothing.

But I am everything to Him!

Yesterday I was struggling with my salvation. In fact, for the past couple of days I have been. A song I wanted to share with you, called Grace By Which I Stand by Keith Green, alleviated my pain. I want you to find this song somewhere and listen to it, because Keith's passion captured my feelings and they could capture yours.

Lord, the feelings are not the same. I guess I'm older; I guess I've changed. And how I wish it had been explained that as you're growing, you must remember, that nothing lasts, except the grace of God, by which I stand, in Jesus.
I know that I would surely fall away, except for grace, by which I'm saved.
Lord, I remember that special way I vowed to serve You, when it was brand new. But like Peter, I can't even watch and pray one hour with You--and I bet I could deny You too!
But nothing lasts, except the grace of God, by which I stand in Jesus.
I know that I would surely fall away except for grace by which I'm saved.

  1. Blogs need "like" buttons like Facebook has.
PS, how do you find so much time to read?! You make me want to actually read something for enjoyment again. Although I guess I'm in the middle of a pretty epic nonfiction at the moment.

    1. Thanks for the "like"! Now you can officially like my stuff (and share it to Facebook too if you want!) with the reactions :)

I'll take the post-script as a compliment, which may or may not have been, but I'm too slow to figure it out :-/. You really should read more, although I can never argue with how much you're reading and loving the Bible. That's the best thing :) :)
